Very well done.
Regressing to the mean streets of St. Pete
Roy Halladay's LOB% has been trending up for the last 5 or 6 years...
Why would we hold him to his career average of 73% when his most recent LOB%s, going backwards in time, have been 82.7, 79, 74.5, 69.5, 74.9, 81.5; before that, his LOB%s were 70.5, 71, 71.6, and 69 (and this is all AFTER his return to the minors).
Considering his three most recent years are 74%, 79%, 83%...77% doesn't seem unreasonable, no?
That’s what regression is all about.
I love Casey Fossum. Now try and take me seriously.

+1 for close reading.
I thought he was saying he’d regress to 73. Carry on………..
