- Weekly Minor League Breakdown - The newest writer at Rays Prospects, BurGi, put together a really fun read on the Rays' minor league pitching. It includes some saber-stats and funky charts...wooo!
- Ex-Rays: Rosscup, Hayes, Salinas - Doug Milhoan checks in with some former Rays prospects.
- How Luck Can Shape Perception: What's Gone Right for James Shields in 2011 - A look at James Shields' hot start to the season, written by Alex Heeren from SBN Tampa Bay. Tommy Rancel also took a look at Shields over at FanGraphs.
- The Rays Rotation is Eating Innings - To add to this article by Heath Baywood, James Shields has been going deep into games and being very efficient with his pitches. I believe Jason Collette tweeted yesterday that Shields has thrown more innings than Roy Halladay, but has used significantly fewer pitches.
- Rays Working to Stop the Running Game - Good stuff from Marc Topkin at the Times. I find the section in the middle where he talks about the Rays' new approach to baserunners as useful. It's definitely seemed as though they were attempting more pick-offs than before, and now we know why.
- Could Cesar Ramos Be More Than a Specialist? - I've noticed that Maddon seems to be using Ramos against both hands more often than he used Choate against righties last season. It's definitely a vote of confidence in him.
- Johnny Damon's 13-Game Hitting Streak - He's flirting with the Rays' record books.
