The Tampa Bay Rays are 0-3 for the first time in franchise history. Yes that is hard to believe, but it isn't because of bad pitching or defense. The Rays can't seem to get hits together to score runs, and this is something that has been going on ever since the last few weeks of last season. More after the jump.
Going into the playoffs last year the Rays were in a horrible slump as a team, and as we saw in the opening series against the Rangers, it carried over. They have been unable to put together hits when they need to when they get the opportunities. The Rays have not had an outburst of runs since early September of 2010, I'm just wondering when they are going to finally have that game again. I know that this entire team is different in all aspects and we are only a series into the season, but they need to put a good game together soon or else we might be watching this kind of baseball for the rest of the season.
