Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

EDIT: To be clear, there's been no official confirmation yet. This news still looks a little bit fishy to me.

And that should make a rotation of

Price
Shields
Hellickson
Davis
Cobb

Win.

But Cobb is a pitcher.

I think the Rays treat them differently than hitters in regards to service time.

GO RAYS!

Wondering who got sent down

No word on that.

Sonny would make sense but why not just wait until the day of the start.

Unless it isn’t Sonny and Sonny is staying in the pen or Cobb is going to be in the pen.

The timing does worry me

Next 4 starters are Price, Shields, Hellickson and Davis. Hoping they are all ok. I don’t think they would call up Cobb for the pen.

Well it's possible, they just want the extra arm

Sonny should be available out of the pen soon (if he wasn’t sent down) since he didn’t pitch much last time, it’s possible they wanted a long man in the pen I guess but I think he will be in our rotation until Neimann returns, as long as he pitches well, of course.

Saving this outburst for Jennings/Guyer.

or LOBATON!

If John Jaso somehow strikes out, it means you didn’t do your job right as an umpire.

Looks like I gotta set the lineup we should have again

LF Desmond Jennings®
DH Johnny Damon (L)
3B Evan Longoria®
RF Matt Joyce (L)
2B Ben Zobrist (S)
CF B.J Upton®
1B Casey Kotchman (L)
SS Sean Rodriguez®
C John Jaso (L)

2 changes I made is getting Damon back to the #2 where I think he was doing very well and getting Longoria out of that clean up spot where he was struggled last season also. The nice part about this lineup is we don’t have to worry about loogy’s or roogy’s or whatever.

Not so much win, but moreso 'lose less'

Proof Matthan admitted he was wrong: http://www.draysbay.com/2011/3/18/2058018/ottotd-for-3-18-2011-thursday-night-t-v#61697767

Some guy on Twitter from 620 says he has walked through the clubhouse and there are no signs of Cobb.

Teleporter must be broken.

I guess he’ll have to catch a flight like a regular Joe Shmoe.

There was no sign of Dan Johnson for a while

Might remember the game. It was against the Red Sox.

Terrible outing against the O's

I like his potential and it’s always nice to have that depth.

I see no upside.

There are plenty of guys who dominate AAA. There is a simple recipe: decent stuff, little command.

See Topkin's tweet?

S-Rod will be almost an everyday player at SS, Maddon wants him facing righties.

Which also means Zo would play 2B and Joyce would play the lefties.

Very, very cool.

he's gotta get better at the plate

srod has had some hits against rhp, while reid cant even hit rhp all that well – at least sean is crushing LHP when he faces them

Where was this originally reported?

I haven’t seen anything about it on any of the usual sources.

Think this was just leaked early

But it is real.

Alex Cobb was scratched from today’s start. Someone spilled the beans a few days too early.
