OTTOTD: The Icebucss are pretty good!
But, which one's the quarterback?
Justified. We should talk about it.
Trivia for the day:
In number theory, Fermat's Last Theorem states that no three positive integers a, b, and c can satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n greater than two. This theorem was first conjectured by Pierre de Fermat in 1637, famously in the margin of a copy of Arithmetica where he claimed he had a proof that was too large to fit in the margin. No successful proof was published until 1995 despite the efforts of countless mathematicians during the 358 intervening years. The unsolved problem stimulated the development of algebraic number theory in the 19th century and the proof of the modularity theorem in the 20th. It is among the most famous theorems in the history of mathematics and prior to its 1995 proof was in the Guinness Book of World Records for "most difficult math problem".

As for Justified:
Great season! Good episode! Well-executed, intense, but poorly written last 10 minutes!
@ptSuttery
Raylan getting bailed out not once, but twice, by perfectly time interruptions was a bit much for me.
They wrote him into situations he couldn’t get himself out of and took the easy way out. The first time Boyd shows up quickly enough that Dickie couldn’t do any real damage. The second time before Doyle could put a bullet in his head.
That said, Doyle taking one between the eyes was pretty great. His deflection of Raylan’s “the girl’s got a gun” — did Doyle think Raylan was bluffing? Or did he just not care about his momma anymore?
@ptSuttery
Also, green poops.
Pretty great if you ask me. Can’t decide if I like them more than the rock-hard deposits, though.

THis probably raises the bar in the OTTOTD

“I had a major hand and play in this wonderful thing, getting him out of the mountains and down to the valleys… Someone had to get him out of there. That’s where I came in,” Gary Faulkner of Greeley, Colorado, told ABC News. "I scared the squirrel out of his hole, he popped his head up and he got capped. “I’m proud of our boys, I’m very proud of our government… They were handed this opportunity on a platter from myself,” he said.

Faulkner dismisses U.S. officials who said bin Laden was believed to have lived in the compound for as many as six years.
“He hadn’t been living there for no damn six years,” Faulkner said. “I absolutely flushed him out.”
I'm an F18, Bro
How awesome would this have been
In previous attempts, Faulkner had tried to use a hang glider to approach bin Laden’s suspected cave, but had to call those plans off after disastrous dry runs with the hang glider in Israel.
Hang gliding in to his cave with his samurai sword

Is this the guy that had a sword and fatigues and they found him in Turkey and sent his ass back to America?
Shit if I was an unemployed construction worker, I might have gotten a few buds together and see if we couldn’t get a piece of that $25M. Now, no one gets it.

If you want to count them, that's fine. The numbers were dreadful, I was going to throw you a bone.
You want to include May games too, 10K per game is a shit-ton lower than the usual 14-15K the Rays usually get for weekday games in May.

There have been roughly 20,000 people at Bolts games for the past two months
You cannot convince me that a good number of those people wouldn’t have bought tix to a Rays game if the Bolts didn’t make the playoffs. It’s substitution effect and it’s killing the Rays right now. Factor in all the other people that want to watch the Bolts but can’t get in so they go to a bar or stay home and it’s not surprising that Rays attendance is down.

The Lightning have played a grand total of 6 home games since the Rays season started.
4 have conflicted with the Rays – the 2 games in the first round drew ~12,000, the last two nights drew ~10,000.
The other Rays home games drew between 10-13K, with the exception of a Thursday game that drew 16 (The day before Good Friday, so I’d imagine it’s because people had off work the next day).
In 2010, weekday games in April and May drew between 12-18K.
In 2009, weekday games in April and May drew between 13-15K.
You can blame it on the Lightning all you want, but that’s not causing this problem.

Of course it matters.
I simply disagree that it matters that much. I would say that 500 may be reasonable but 2,000 is a lot. A 6:40 start time may be even more attractive to some people because it means they will be home earlier, and if kids are coming they can still go to the game and be home in time to get to bed at a decent time. I would argue that

Problems:
1) Awful Deus Ex Machina at the end. I can buy it a bit in the Boyd/Dickie portion, but the entire federal government swarming in at just the right moment is lazy fucking writing.
2) The two “cliff hangers” are incredibly uncomplelling to me. The worst two characters on the show are the focus.
3) Literally none of the main issues of the series are dealt with in a reasonable manner.

Agree. It was a great season and it kinda felt like they didn’t put much thought into tying it up. I don’t think Boyd would give up Dickie easy like that either. Agree with you about Arlo as well. I hope Ava dies, cuz she was getting on my nerves this year.
By the way, how great is that Brad Paisley song they played at the end of the episode. Those couple of lines give me chills every time I hear them. That should be the theme song of the show instead of the one they went with.

Sandy, you still postin at Bucschat?
I was a way for a while, hopped back into the politics section, then got out again. don’t see the point. I like football but there’s not enough goin on in the forum. I do think i’ve read everything Talbuc’s ever posted though. Even if he’s wrong, he sounds so right.
Here and there, mostly trying to provide a balance to the general retardism that is the Rays forum
Don’t care much about football unless it’s 1:00 on a Sunday these days
@SandyKazmir Die or Ride, You Decide
hear that
1990’s hornet guys is a rey-tard. politics has gone from de facto racism to overt racism. there’s not even a point in calling it out even more.
Got a link?
I need to hook up with the brotherhood.

Will someone explain to me why in the new DRB logo the Skyway is connecting UT to Downtown Tampa? Because those are 3 things not in St Pete, which is where the Rays play
