Scott Kazmir Likely To Be Released
Kazmir is still only 27, so don't count him out of baseball quite yet. Perhaps another fresh start will lead to him becoming a serviceable starter in time.
I always really liked Kaz. It's sad to see his career in such poor shape.

No thanks, don't need his negative influence on this team.

Yes I've only been a fan since 2009.

I want cricket boy back for sentimental reason.
If you want to keep guns out of the hands of thugs, just attach job applications to them
Damn, the Rays were so lucky to get out of that contract when they did
Hate to see what has happened to his career, at least he will have money.
This
Imagine him taking up 7 mill of our payroll

I'd love to get him back...
if he is willing to go to the minors and become a relief pitcher. get his heat up to at least 94 and find the damn slider that vanished
RIP PIMP K
I'm not sure if you're serious...If you are, the reasons are simple:
1) Dutton’s xBABIP has to be input by hand, so it takes a long time to calculate.
2) I do this for free.

No doubt
He was the reason to watch the rays for a few years

Solidified my fansmanship and the old Kazmir vs. Shields debates were my first foray into proving a point through numbers

Agreed
He really hasn’t been the same since he felt the ‘pop’ in his elbow during live BP at the beginning of ’08 Spring Training. He came back trying to pitch without using his best pitch, and lost it as soon as the league caught on.

Self correct
He said he didn’t feel a ‘pop’ but rather ‘discomfort’. I’m guessing he has underlying structural issues that didn’t show themselves at the time. Either that or really poor work habits.

Didn't he start off really hot in 2008?

Yes
Looked like Sandy Koufax at 5-1 then hit the DL never to be the same again

He was on the DL all of April, didn't debut til May

Working off his changeup...not his slider

he also started off pretty well with the Angels
then 2010 was a disaster like his 2009 time with the Rays.
Since 2008, he’s been basically a 150 IP guy. The real difference in the stats between his time here and in Anaheim is K/9: 9.4 with the Rays and 5.7 with the Angels. Seems to support the bad arm theory.
He made 6 good starts with LAA
But you could make the case that the Rays duct taped him back together after his DL-stint to trade him. He did make a few good starts in August before getting moved with TB.
