For black men, a nod can say a lot

It's a simple nod.

You make eye contact then tilt your head up. In many instances, you follow with a rhetorical, "What's up?"

Invariably, the person on the receiving end does the same. And then you move on.

For most of my life, I've employed this greeting with other black men.

Why is this only a black thing? Doesn't matter any color can nod, but many whites learned how to talk years ago so by them saying Hello or Hi makes them so far ahead of the game. You nod ur head in Key West they will think u r looking for a pick up of another gay man. If u nod in NYC to someone they might kill u so who cares Does this story make any sense or r we all to now go out into the streets an nod to anyone we see
