He just got traded for a pitcher struggling in High-A and a PTBNL.

…he’s been a reasonably effective backup for the team, a guy who doesn’t have to play every day and can fill in for Pagan when his back is acting up. Worth 0.5 fWAR this season – and as a fifth outfielder goes, that’ll do. It’s not Fuld-ish, but it is Ruggiano-esque.

Still don’t know what the Marlins would want. Upton is better player but one year left at $8Mish may be too high for Marlins. May have to do Niemann and a low-level arm.

Hey guys.

Mets fan here. Rays are my favorite AL team. I just love how the Rays are run and the Garza/Young trade was just another example of how the Rays are very ballsy organization. Thankfully Sandy seems to be righting the Mets ship. Good luck with everything and I’m sure I’m not the only one waiting for Matt Moore to get to the show.

If the Mets become what they are moving towards, the NL is pretty much their's to take.

Howard’s contract makes me smile everyday. With Citi field being what it is, we have to build with pitching and the Wheeler deal def helped that. In the Omar days, I would look at the way the Rays were getting the maximum value both on and off the field for their players and making smart signings( Luis and Ollie = face slam) and be so jealous. I love that the Mets finally did something smart by grabbing some of the more progressive minds in the business to help this “snake bitten” team.
