Ben Zobrist, one more time, is having the best year nobody’s noticing.
Joe Posnanski on the AL MVP discussion
Fanboy aside, Zobrist deserves a top six finish in the AL MVP voting but I have little faith he makes the top ten when it is all said and done.

Pretty ridiculous how he's probably going to have 2 7+ seasons
And is still treated like he’s a spare part.

Interestingly, in a straight WAR calculation, his versatility hurts him.
In reality it adds to his value as it allows the Rays to better optimize their lineup based on the matchups, but the time he spends in right field brings down his positional adjustment. And while he posts quite good UZR numbers in right, he posts great UZR numbers at second.
Right now Pedroia has Zobrist edged in total fangraphs WAR among second basemen, but if Zobrist played full time at 2B it would be tight.
I’m obviously not saying we should use him differently – versatility is part of what makes him great – but the calculation is a little bit funny.
Haven't heard anyone refer to him as OHW in a while.
I think we can safely put the moniker out to pasture.
