Niemann v. Wilson just struck me as waving a white flag and accepting g1 loss, especially considering Wilson’s dominance over the Rays, but I just have a feeling Moore will keep us in the game and electrify the team. He does average what, 13 runs of support per start?

No…. no…no.. stop…no.

Which against Texas, isn’t all that surprising, I just hope that doesn’t open a spot for Howell. I do not trust him.

Joe was talking about maybe a 3rd catcher again, that’s what got Navarro to go away last season. I don’t feel the need for Lobaton.

That I feel as though Matt Moore is the Cliff Lee acquisition we needed last year. I understand his resume isnt there yet and hes not at that level but the electrifying stuff he has, the command and composure, and the unfamiliarity other teams will have to deal with could be huge for us.

The Rangers can hit. That’s a fact. If Moore can go 5-6 it doesn’t matter as much with a rested bullpen. Shields ability to soak up innings is almost as versatile as Zobrist’s ability to play all over. Maddon can hope for a good to great start from Moore, but if he doesn’t get it then we’re still in OK shape. I think he’s going to be dynamite against a really good team in a really inflated environment. If he does go out and reward those in charge for having faith it’s going to be a legendary tale and a real leg up.
