The Durham Bulls and the Bowling Green Hot Rods each made their respective league's playoffs, both of which get under way on Wednesday. Durham takes on the Columbus Clippers (Indians organization, 2010 Triple-A champions) while the Hot Rods face the Fort Wayne TinCaps (Padres organization). Matt Moore will start game one of the best-of-five series for the Bulls with Chris Archer and Alex Torres in some order likely for games two and three. Stacy Long reports that Matt Bush, Cole Figueroa, and Jim Paduch have gone up to Durham from Montgomery, though it's not certain if they'll be activated (I'd love to see Bush [twss] on milb.tv). All International League playoff games should be on milb.tv
The Midwest League playoffs start with a best-of-three series but the pitching probables aren't as clear. On normal rest, Enny Romero wouldn't be ready to go until the if-necessary game three. George Jensen and Victor Mateo were 1-2 on the team in innings and wins, though hard-throwing Braulio Lara is the better prospect. 2011 draftees Lenny Linsky (2nd round) and Taylor Motter (17th) joined the team late in the season.
