2008 ALCS Game 2
I'm watching a DVD copy of game 2. I was at this particular game so I've been wanting to watch the broadcast of it for a while. I had completely forgotten how infuriating it was to watch Scott Kazmir after he stopped throwing his slider. The guy really had no control over the ball. His stuff wasn't as good as it was when he was a precocious youth but it was still acceptable. It's really a shame how bad it got. I can remember begging and pleading for him to be traded in 2009. that really did end up being addition by subtraction.

and another thing
These announcers. gah. terrible. Everything about the Rays is concerning. Everything about the Sox is focused on the positive.
puke.
Cliff Floyd!
Oh my goodness, how quickly I forgot.
That was probably the most exciting Rays postseason game ever
Dan Wheeler was really good that night.
I was at this game
Kazmir and Beckett (or was it lester?) were both ineffective I remember. We forgot about the starters very quickly

It was
Beckett and Kazmir. They were both terrible. Had to break to go out. put it back on tonight. I’m looking forward to Timlin’s appearance. I remember I was sitting next to a Sox fan. As soon as Timlin came in he turned to me and said, “We’re screwed. Its over.”
he was right!
just liveblogging my nostalgia in this fanpost, you guys.

It was the one that ended in the 11th with an Upton sac fly to bring in Perez. Definitely Epic
