PrintIt's that time of year again. If you played last year and want to play again, then please drop a line here or at the other thread to indicate that you want to play. Keep in mind that people that played last year get preferential treatment as they will be placed in a division that reflects their fantasy baseballing ability. I can understand if some of the teams that didn't do so hot are scared to come back, but if you did well and ended up in either of the first two divisions then you should be playing again. Otherwise that spot goes back to the bottom for someone else.

It's not and never was a keeper league
unless I am missing something.
It would be impossible to do a keeper league with teams moving leagues every year.

The four GMs need to confirm somewhere (i.e. This Thread) a uniform set of rules to set the leagues up with.
This is the problem that occurred last year. Two leagues were set up with divisions when there shouldn’t have been, and one league was configured as a keeper.

Getting contributions from "hate" groups is irrelevant. What matters are his policies. He promotes civil liberties and freedoms. His policies are by far the most minority friendly out there. I don't vote for the man, I vote for the policy/ideology.
Your same logic would mean Obama is a communist, because he has communist supporters. What would make Obama a communist or not is his ideology and his policies, not whether or not he had some communist supporters. It is a riduculous argument.
Now I certainly don’t think he is racist, but if he was on a personal basis why should it matter when his policies are promoting freedom for all? If I was a minority I’d much rather have a POTUS that gives me the freedoms I deserve even if he personally “hates me” over a POTUS that “loves me” yet wants to continue to enact policies that keep me down.
But sure, you can look at Newsletters decades old and ignore the actual policy positions that are pro minority.

i'm in
as a side note, i like moving up down based on your record in the league more than record against all the other leagues. a guy in the lowest tear winning 70% of the games against a league where half don’t set their rosters isn’t very impressive to me.
I agree with this, now that there's some continuity and established leagues
However the problem is turnover, you can’t do a relegation/promotion system if Arsenal decides they don’t feel like playing this season.

if arsenal doesn't feel like playing
then the next team bumps up, and if the following year they want to play, they start over back at the bottom.
The leagues might make themselves a bit more serious by adding prizes to the league winner. Wouldn’t have to be something like everyone pays and the winner gets the cash prize, but a signed book or jersey to go out to the different winners of each tier. just an idea. I’m sure this will all get settled in a different thread.

please let me know. I’ve been playing 8 years in a 6×6 mixed league and won last year in dramatic fashion. Longo’s season ending homer (and RBI) moved me from 1.5 points back to a tie for first which was broken by my 3 catagories won to my opponents 1. Oh, and I live in St.Pete while the other owner lives in Boston. If there aren’t any openings does anyone know about any local St.Pete leagues that have an in-person draft (preferable auction)? I have been drafting online for the last 4 years and that’s fine but there’s nothing quite like getting all the lunatic owners in one room.
