Tim Beckham (SS/2B, 22, AAA): In 2012, Beckham hit for a .686 OPS in 72 games in Durham. While his defensive ability at shortstop is in question, Baseball America noted that he still has good raw power and bat speed.
Tyler Goeddel (3B, 19, A): Aggressively sent to Bowling Green after receiving the second highest bonus the Rays dished out in the 2011 draft, Goeddel hit for a .706 OPS. A tremendous athlete, Jim Callis says he needs to fill out his frame and add strength, but "he has the athleticism, bat speed, and arm strength to do it all at the hot corner."
Mike Montgomery (LHP, 22, AAA/AA): The lefty with the hard fastball and great changeup struggled mightily in 2012, to the point where he was demoted to AA. His combined ERA was 6.07.
