I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. I couldn't have asked for a better day, myself.

The Rays, and baseball in general, had a very quiet yuletide, with no major signings, trades or nuggets to report.

New AL East foe, R.A. Dickey did show off his awesome Star Wars pajamas on twitter. Bryce Harper also joined in the holiday fun with this horrifically tacky sweater. Ex Ray B.J. Upton was happy to see that lots of Braves fans got a new Upton jersey from Santa, noting that he doesn't even have one yet.

Finally, the Times ran a story suggesting that the majority of Tampa Bay residents would prefer to see the Rays stay in Tropicana Field. That isn't promising.
