1B Dan Johnson, who hit big homers for #Rays, signing w/ #White Sox, minor-league deal
First Canzler, now DanJo? It's like the Rays don't want to leave us any Quad-A first basemen to get ridiculously, emotionally attached to.
Farewell, DanJo. The Legend of the Great Pumpkin shall never die.

Pour out a 40 for DanJo
If Dunn can’t get it together again, he just might get a chance.
Y'know, they might as well.
The White Sox are going to quite a terrible site this year, might as well give them something to laugh at.

Let's recall this isn't the first time DanJo bolted. He played in Japan in '09
follow me on twitter @sternfan10
And we missed the playoffs that year
WHAT ARE YOU DOING FRIEDMAN! :(
Technically I think he was “sold” to Japan so I dunno how that works.
I put the screw IN THE TUNA!

He could get cut.
He knows who butters his bread. The hands of Friedman.

Players are typically approached about the idea of playing in Japan before anything happens.
This was the case with DanJo.

Oh shucks.
This is a real blow. I don’t know if I will ever get over this loss.
Best of luck, Dan Johnson. I wish you the best in Charlotte.

Maybe he can win the IL MVP for two different teams!

There is a goal to shoot for.
Granted, it’s more than I can claim. So, more power to him.

I have no doubt.
That sometime in mid September, the Rays will be trailing the Yankees and the Red Sox by a game or so. And NY and Boston will each host Chicago, one right after the other, and DanJo will smite them.
The problem with that jersey is that it will only show up in your closet...
only once a year where you are down to your last hope. So, good luck. :)
Blah!

danjo?
Gawd, the pethetic, totally lacking in imagination nicknames blow. And you write for this site on a regular basis?
Careful man, they've banned for less.
I’ll take DanJo over “The Great Pumpkin” any day of the week, though

The first win and the last season win in 2011 are bring by the homerun of Dan Johnson,
and his first at bat as a Rays and the last at bat are both legendary home run,
Simply amazing, just wish him luck

so what happens when we're down to the last inning of the last game to clinch the East and home-field?
who’s gonna hit our season-winning home runs NOW?! :(
Time to shamelessly plug my book and short story!
