A new reason to get ESPN Insider Access
Longtime site friend and Rays fan Kiley McDaniel is back in the public doing work for ESPN covering prospects helping to fill the void created when the Rays hired Jason Grey to the scouting team. Kiley's been hidden while working with the Yankees, Orioles, and Pirates but is now able to share his knowledge again. Make sure you follow him on Twitter at @kileymcd; you will not be disappointed.

What did the "sportcenter host that's suspended 30 days" say?
I got away from the one thing that kept me on the straight and narrow, and that was my relationship with the Lord

I saw that headline, but their newest update states that the author of that article got shitcanned and there was another incident where a sportscenter host ended up suspended for 30 days
I’m guessing he said something inappropriate on air, but no idea the deets

That's what I'm saying. I believe he used the same phrase.
He defended himself on the Twitter machine earlier saying that he had an Asian wife.
He used same phrase.

Well that certainly makes it alright, then.

How long have you read the site?
Because Kiley was a part of the 2009 DRB Annual:
http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/74109/2009DRBSP.pdf
DRB has also linked to and supported his work in the past, see here—when he wrote for Prospectus on the international amateur beat:

Or here, where I interviewed him for BTB and Collette even commented in jest.

I’ve known Kiley for more than four years now, and I know Jason’s relationship with him predates that. I don’t know what the definition of “friend of the site” is, but I think doing work for a site publication counts.

No problem with Kiley RJ but here's my beef
Stop c-blocking a writer’s work with some front page blue box with info that just as well could have been put in the same copy/paste fanshot
For me a blue box on the front page should be reserved for something impacting the Rays roster, coaches or FO

Stories are usually up in the AM

sounds like an old friend, not a long-time one. i've been reading since early 2010 which makes sense as to why i haven't heard of him.

Yeah, he went into a front office right as 2010 started.
I’d recommend his work. Although I think Law is the draw for Insider.
For those unfamiliar with Kiley, I’d recommend his BPro archives and Saber-Scouting, if that place still exist in some form or another.

He had to go dark when he was in the FO, just as most do
It’s a good thing he’s back writing in the public domain, friend or no friend.

Jason, I take back the rude things I've posted to/about you.
Some of them, anyways.
I disagree with some of the things that you do/post/how you run the site, but you’re nearly half the pile of shit that is Al Yellon.
I dare you to challenge Al Yellon.
You have been banned from Bleed Cubbie Blue.
I see a long moderation log here for you. You've worn out your welcome in just about the entire AL East, including your own home team! Congratulations, you've started on the NL Central. Goodbye.
I'm hoping this is supposed to be "not nearly"
