According to friend of the site JB Long, the Rays have acquired infielder Ryan Roberts from the Diamondbacks in exchange for Double-A infielder Tyler Bortnick.
The deal was rumored yesterday and become more apparent when Roberts was designated for assignment this afternoon. He'll join the team in Baltimore tomorrow. No roster move has been announced yet but it would appear that Brooks Conrad, tonight's hero, is the odd man out.
