Baseballtraderumors.com reports that the Rays have traded Brignac to the Rockies for cash considerations and a player to be named later. Hardball Talk says it is for cash or a PTBNL.

If there is a PTBNL, I assume it is someone not on the 40 man roster, or at least someone with options. Probably system filler, but it is always intriguing to consider who it might be. After all, if it is someone the quality of E. Johnson, there can be some value in that.
