Triple-A Durham Bulls (20-11)
A day after throwing a no-hitter, the Bulls lost in quiet fashion by the score of 5-0. Chris Archer, who was scheduled to start, was a late scratch due to a minor leg contusion. Jim Paduch took his spot, allowing a five runs in his five innings. The bullpen kept the rest of the game scoreless. It was a quiet day offensively for the Bulls. The only player to reach base multiple times was Leslie Anderson, whose 1-3 performance with a walk and a double was the offensive highlight for the Bulls.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (17-13)
The Montgomery Biscuits did not play on Monday.
Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (8-22)
A horrific start to the season continued Monday for the Stone Crabs as they lost 4-2. A normally reliable Ryan Carpenter allowed four runs in his five innings. The Stone Crabs only collected seven hits and three walks, with Jake Hager (2-4, 2B) leading the way.
Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods(20-10)
Behind a nice start by Jeff Ames, the Bowling Green Hot Rods won Monday's game 4-2. Ames lasted six innings, allowing no runs, walking one, and striking out four. Four hitters collected multiple hits for the Hot Rods. Andrew Toles, after a recent string of tough games, went 2-3 with a double and a triple.
Star of the Day: Jeff Ames led his team to victory.
Goat of the Day: Jim Paduch did not do a great job of covering for Archer.
