Oh, the anticipation.
Due to rain, the impending clinch of the best record in the American League and the top spot in the East will have to wait another day. Hopefully, that day is today... Go Orioles?
Note: the Red Sox have been alone atop the AL East since May 27th...time for that streak to end.
Considering the lack of a game, Rays news was rather lacking.
Per @SunSportsRays, the rotation should now be the following:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Rays&src=hash">#Rays</a> will pitch Hellickson, Archer and Moore @ NYY, then decide Mon. @ BOS between <a href="https://twitter.com/DAVIDprice14">@DAVIDprice14</a> or Hernandez. The other would pitch Tues.</p>— SunSportsRays (@SunSportsRays) <a href="https://twitter.com/SunSportsRays/statuses/360552760019664898">July 26, 2013</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Today the Rays open up a weekend series in the Bronx against the Yankees, who are currently 6.5 games out of first and dealing with quite the bit of A-Rod drama.
Quote of the Day:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Maddon says Escobar has influenced other <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Rays&src=hash">#Rays</a>: "Zobrist looks like he's from Havana right now himself, the plays he's making up the middle"</p>— Marc Topkin (@TBTimes_Rays) <a href="https://twitter.com/TBTimes_Rays/statuses/360463893526626306">July 25, 2013</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
