The Rays Tank: Hold Your Horses, Rays Play Two Today!

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Two chances to win today!

He’s back! Alex Colome has been called up from Durham to make his first start of the season in game one of a day-night doubleheader for the Rays today. He’ll face Kevin Gausman of the Orioles at 1:05 PM. At 7:05 PM, Jake Odorizzi will take the mound against Chris Tillman.

Joe Maddon expressed his love of split doubleheaders to Steven Petrella of MLB.com,

It's a great concept. Have a group get there at 10 o'clock in the morning and finish at 11 o'clock at night. And then play a 4 o'clock game [Saturday]. That's just how baseball was meant to be played.

Marc Topkin investigates how Kevin Kiermaier became known as “the Outlaw”.

Kiermaier definitely fit right in at Rays on the Runway. You can check out some pictures from the event over at Estrella Fashion Report.

In case you missed it, Chris Archer serenaded a lucky lady with Usher’s “Burn”.

If you’re in the Bay area and have some free time on July 11th, why not help out Joe Maddon at his first Thanksmas volunteer event?
