Four wins to .500.
Brett provided last night's recap of Alex Cobb's stellar night at Busch Stadium, and also predicted the future a few days back:

While in St. Louis, the self-proclaimed "best fans in baseball" tried to woo David Price by buying him some drinks and offering him a suite at the Cardinals game. Cool move.
But apparently everyone in the 314 was feeling generous, as Yadier Molina left a gift for his brother at home plate:

He just wanted to make sure Jose Molina had snacks for the 7th inning stretch. Hope he shared.
And since the Cards were being so nice to everyone else, MLB decided to gift them with a pick from the Competitive Balance lottery.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>You know the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MLB?src=hash">#MLB</a> competitive balance lottery is wildly flawed when the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/STLCards?src=hash">#STLCards</a> get the No. 3 pick, and the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rays?src=hash">#Rays</a> don't even get a pick.</p>— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) <a href="https://twitter.com/BNightengale/statuses/492035062716575744">July 23, 2014</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So needed!!
Fun fact of the day:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Rays had majors' worst record thru June 29. Have played only 18 G since then -- and have passed 12 teams in <a href="https://twitter.com/MLB">@MLB</a> standings. - Fangraphs gave ole Kevin Kiermaier some love, honoring him as "Tampa Bay's New Center Fielder of the Future." DP seems to agree:
