The Rays won 10-1 last night AND it was revealed that Yu Darvish, the Rangers' unequivocal ace and noted Ray-killer would be scratched for today, this final day of a four-game series. Of course, no one is rooting for injuries; that's sadistic and wrong. But for the Rays it was lucky, and if you believe in karma/luck/juju, the first rule is to never mess with a winning streak. This was like the whole driving motivation behind Robert de Niro's character in Silver Linings Playbook (which I watched for probably the fifth time last night) and as far as I can tell he was the hero of that movie.
So consider this thread not a GDT, but rather a place for baseball-related self-reflection and introspection. Spend these next three hours finding some way to better yourself. Learn a new skill. Watch a TED talk. Tell us about it! But don't call it a comeback GDT because it's not.
