Did Delmon really throw the bat?

So I've watched the video a number of times. Delmon is called out on an obvious ball, stands there for a while, walks off, and then, after he is out of the frame, a bat flies and hits the umpire.

Did Delmon really throw the bat? The video doesn't prove that. So the obvious question here is, since there's no proof Delmon threw the bat, can they really suspend him? Could there have been a second bat thrower in the on-deck circle - Dukes maybe? Dukes got into an argument later with coaches - maybe because he was the actual bat thrower?

As Johnny Cochrane used to say "If it's not on the tape, he must escape."

How desperate are you to defend this guy. This must be some sort of joke. The video is not the only thing going on, eyewitnesses on both teams were interviewed, and B.J. Upton even tore into DELMON, not Elijah. I'm sorry, the video might not show him throwing the bat, but everyone else at the game knows he did because they had a wider view. This must be some kind of joke, seriously, Delmon did a stupid, terrible thing that, while not violent, was certainly stupid, and he will be suspended for it. Get over it, HE DID WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!

I could be wrong...

but I have a feeling that Delmonfan's post was in jest (as nearly all of his are). I think that he thrives on people taking him seriously (that's the best part of the joke). Personally, I find him funny but let's not get all riled up by his posts.

But I can't leave something as dumb as this untouched. If you really believe this delmonfan, I strongly disagree with you and have to question your sanity. If you're just pulling people's legs, then please stop. It adds nothing to the intellect of the world.
