Prospect List: #10

It takes 78 dollars to go from New York to Tampa Bay, that is assuming that you're a batting helmet. That's the figure the Yankees claimed on their taxes.

Doesn't have anything at all to do with the Rays but I wanted to mention it along with the fact that I've seen DRaysBay new logo, or at least the preliminary logo, and it's quite nice.

Anyhow, here's Mitch Talbot:

Wide repertoire includes low-to-mid 90s fastball, sinker, cutter, slider, curve and changeup (which could be his best pitch). ... Tends to outthink himself in certain situations instead of trusting his stuff. ... Could have the best "pure stuff" of the five. ... Has showed mental toughness in coming back strong after rough stretch in which he allowed 28 runs in 19 innings.

Oh and visit the new Orlando Magic blog, Third Quarter Collapse.

Re: Prospect List: #10
For me this is between Perez and Mason, but I think Mason is a little better.

Re: I'm a little surprised that Royster
I did not vote for Royster for the pure fact that he has not consistently dominated. This year was a break out year for Royster. Both Fernando and Mason have shown consistency where Royster has not. It's not a slight against Royster, it's just a "that's nice, do it again" approach.

Re: I'm a little surprised that Royster
This is why I voted for Mason over Royster as well.

Re: Prospect List: #10
I don't know. When I see Talbot, I see reliever down the road. I mean he stepped up in the post season last year for the Biscuits but, I wouldn't call me #10 by any stretch.

Another tie?
Fernie would come on Friday if that's the case.
