LaMar-itis 12/28/07

As most of you know I've been writing a Rays' history book for a while now - since February, and I've been hyping it for 2008 with intentions of getting it published and selling it. Well, I'm tired of waiting, and frankly I'm ready to move on in terms of book projects, plus I keep listening to Lupe Fiasco's The Cool (buy it Tuesday) and it makes me want that feeling of accomplishment. I've been working on it for nearly a year, and it's ready to go, no sense in just wasting it.

So here's what's going to happen, coming December 28th the fabled LaMaritis will be here for free consumption to all of you who want it. Consider it a late Christmas gift and a testament to how much you readers mean to me. I won't be benefiting financially from this, but I just want over 1,000 downloads, that was always my sale goal, otherwise I'm going to consider this project a disappointment.

Anyhow, 12/28 the tales of LaMar come to DRB and you, free.

Wow thank you. I am going to look forward to reading it. I like your writing style and you seem to have a good grasp on the things you write. Thank you for the late Christmas present but way to ruin the surprise.

Re: LaMar-itis 12/28/07
I have to build hype once last time this year.

Frankly I didn't know for sure I was going to do it until I discussed the idea with a few folks.

Re: LaMar-itis 12/28/07
Who will be reading the audiobook version. I'm a busy man and I don't have the time to do my own reading.

Looking forward to the Readers Digest version though!

Re: Shatner
Are you sure you can get him away from WoW for long enough RJ? ;)

Re: Shatner
Note: I assume you sound like a cross between those two IRL (in real life)

No, not really
I still can't believe you aren't picking up Fiasco's new CD though - it's good, really good.

Re: No, not really
I may download a legal digital backup of those files via an internet transfer apparatus, but I'm not a huge fan of him. I'm really loving all these Lil Wayne mixtapes that have come out this year. Almost all of them have 5-10 really really good songs. Its a shame you don't partake

Re: No, not really
He's like the anti-Lupe, one has a single CD more coming out, the other produces mixtapes every week. It's overkill, no?

I'd equate rapping to writing, if I go and put out a  book every two weeks eventually don't they hold a ton of less value?
