I wonder if we will get a NY combo of different flavors with Jim Duquette of the Mets and Joe Girardi of the Yankees. Keep in mind that Duquette is the one who was either pressured into making the Kazmir deal, or signed off on it. He seems to be a hot commodity.
Like I said earlier, not sure how Marlins job is a better job than the Devil Rays one. With the Marlins, its not certain that they will be Florida residents in the distant future. Plus, unlike the Devil Rays who seem to be in the mode of adding payroll, Marlins are sure to be dumping it. They made a shortsighted move in making a free agent splash at 1B, rather than saving the money to resign their top tier pitching.
