The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America announced the winners of its annual awards. The Champions Award (to the player who best exemplifies the spirit of true professionalism on and off the field) went to C Toby Hall (49 votes). OF Jonny Gomes (63) won the Outstanding Rookie Award over LHP Scott Kazmir (57). 2B Jorge Cantu (61) captured the MVP over OF Carl Crawford (52).
