Andrew says:
"Let's say, for instance, [highly-touted outfield prospect] Delmon Young is in another organization and is available for 'X' player," Friedman said. "We'd still do [the deal] if the alternative was someone less [talent-wise] than Delmon, even with our strength being in the outfield.
This translates to we are putting our fishing line out to sea to see what we might catch. We have no intention of following through with taking what shows up on the line, but we want to show the other fish that we come ready with alot of bait.
