2002 Draft Debate on Upton

The Pirates selected Bryan Bullington over BJ Upton in the 2002 draft as #1 . Now, the Pirates find themselves defending the pick:

Although the Pirates' brain trust has been encouraged by Bullington's development, is has been continually second-guessed by those who believe that the team shouldn't have passed on Devil Rays shortstop B.J. Upton to select Bullington. Those critics believe Upton, who made his Major League debut with Tampa Bay last summer, will become an elite hitter at the big league level for years to come.
There is alot of pressure making the first selection overall. For every Delmon Young, there is a Shawn Abner.
