My take is that the Rays are showcasing him today by giving him the start. McClung again pitches two scoreless innings in relief. Its true his strikeout numbers are down, but I can't fault him with getting the outs and no runs given up. Is McClung the modern day Norm Charlton? A guy who pitched fore Lou in Cincy and in Seattle as both a starter and a reliever.
Speaking of Ks, Z Rays mentions that "A hitter has to strike out almost 34 times to cost his team a single run."
