Dennis Maffezzoli covers the Rays for the Herald Tribune.  I recently had a chance to ask Dennis some questions about the Rays.

DRAYS BAY : What happened to the long tem extension with Carl? Is that still possible? Who will be harder to sign, Rocco or Carl?

Dennis Maffezzoli: Carl is still mulling over proposals that have been reported as too low. Carl wants to stay, but they are going to have to up the offer. Rocco definitely will be harder to sign, since he is represented by Scott Boras.
