I was looking through the Baseball Prospectus Equivalent Average pages today and noticed something interesting. On the page there is a section with EqAs by team and it includes park factors. Here are the ones for the Trop each year the Rays have existed:
1998: 1021
1999: 1008
2000: 1001
2001: 995
2002: 991
2003: 986
2004: 978
It seems that the Trop is becoming more of a pitcher's park every season. I have no idea what's causing that, there haven't been any structural changes to speak of over the years and playing in a dome should prevent weather patterns from ever affecting play.
The hitting stats spreadsheet is up, both it and the pitching one are updated through last night's game.
