The Oakland Athletics are one small market team that gets bang for its buck. Its mainly about the pitching. This year has been a tough one so far as they had to unload two of their ace pitchers.
Rays over the past few seasons were built around a trio of pitchers as well. Rays as well unloaded two of these pitchers in Zambrano and Sosa, and the returns are Kazmir and Nick Green. Not bad for the misunderstood LaMar. But, it is those blunder that Chuck is remembered by. Guys like Cash and Blum trades is what gets at Rays followers.
