Perez or Cantu?

I was just reading Lee Sinins Around The Majors report and this item caught my eye:

Dodgers 3B Antonio Perez had 4 hits, including a HR.

Perez has 5 RCAA/.725 OPS in 80 career games, including a .696 SLG, .520
OBA, 1.216 OPS, 7 RCAA in 9 games in 2005.

I know its a small sample size, but his numbers look quite good for the former Devil Ray. He basically plays the same position as Jorge Cantu being a 2B/3B. So, lets forget that Chuck gave away this fine player for nothing. If the two were battling it out this season, which player would you prefer? Who has a bigger upside?
