The problem here is that there are 3 visions
- Chuck and Vince : lets make a profit
- Lou: Lets win some games
- Sternberg and friends : Future is so bright
As far as a profit, like VinceMustGo and OustNaimoli have pointed out, you should not be in business of running a MLB team to be the most profitable team. You need to give fans a reason to care, and you make money with pro sports teams when you sell the franchise.
