According to the TV broadcast today Alex Gonzalez was activated from the DL and Hideo Nomo was finally, mercifully, designated for assignment. That probably means that Waechter will step into the rotation when he returns soon (with Cortez going back down to Durham), which is an improvement to the rotation but probably not a large one. I'm just glad that the Nomo era is finally over.
