link: I agree with everything this article says except one point. He says "And, if done right, the Rays should be able to put together a team for next season that would enable them to keep B.J. Upton and Delmon Young on a steady course of improvement at Durham." BJ Upton has been down at AAA for two seasons. He has proved just about everything you can do to become a major league player. With defense, you either have it or you do not. He needs to be given a shot to play everyday sort of the way the Marlins did with Cabrera when he came up. Cabrera started as a shortstop in minors, but when his tremedous offensive potential outwighed his defense, he was tried in other positions. We need to integrate Upton to the existing squad. Delmon is different. He is year younger and keeping him down in Durham will not last long.
