Rays Lineup 2006

B.J. Upton has nothing left to prove in the minors with the bat at this point.  He's the total package at the plate, and a team's best hitter should bat third.  Despite the objections of Upton's agent, his Major League defense at shortstop would be atrocious.  He can't be allowed to hemorrhage runs while learning on the job.  Upton should learn third base in winter ball and come to spring training ready to play.  A year down the line after Lugo departs, maybe Upton can figure out how to handle shortstop.
