Jake's Take: Lotta class in Boston...(insert sarcasm here)

New, 13 comments

First it was the whole little Pedro Vs. Gerald Williams scuffle....

Then came Ryan Rupe Vs. Trot Nixon...

Last season had Carter Vs. Ortiz & Manny and Schilling's mouth Vs. Joe Magrane & Lou.

Yet nothing compares to the classless act that took place today. During the 8th Inning, Joey Gathright was sliding into home plate when "Criminally Insane" reliever Julian Tavarez sucker-punched him. Last time I checked, when you tag someone out at home...you don't tag them with your fist. Just my thoughts....

I dunno if it was because the Rays had just turned a totally lopsided game(in Boston's favor) into a tie game or if it were Tavarez's total lack of self-control, but I expect that Sawks fans are going to blame this on the Rays.

Wanna hear what I think about it?

#### You!

You see, ever man has his threshold and I don't care all "high and mighty" the Red Sox perceive themselves as, but today's act was flat-out over the line. I'm starting to think that Boston's World Series win got their players and fans into a "holier than thou" attitude. Apparently, to them, the Rays don't deserve to set their feet on the same field as the Sox and when the Rays show that they've got the skills and actually compete with Boston....Boston cheats, blames it on us and whines about it. Outside of Sam Killay, my former co-wrier, all Boston fans can kiss my 6'5" frame's big pasty white ass.

Hey Red Sox Nation, don't think that the Rays or their fans will forget this classless act....
