TODAY'S ROSTER MOVES---Rays this morning trimmed the spring roster to 25...the club optioned RHP Edwin Jackson and C Kevin Cash to AAA Durham; reassigned INF Russell Branyan and INF Greg Norton to minor league camp; placed OF Rocco Baldelli on the 15-day DL etroactive to March 24 (left hamstring strain), INF Sean Burroughs on the 15-day DL retroactive to March 30 (lower back strain) and RHP Shinji Mori on the 60-day DL (right shoulder subluxation); selected RHP Jason Childers, RHP Ruddy Lugo and INF Luis Ordaz from AAA Durham. The club will need make one more move today to put the roster at the 40-man limit.
Eh, some questionable moves....Ordaz? Childers and Lugo deserved a spot. Rocco was a surprise scratch...
