Dukes > Winter League

As expected Elijah Dukes is tearing up the Dominican Winter League against weaker competition -- Hideo Nomo is attempting a comeback over there, seriously -- so far the 23 year old is hitting .353/.500/.706 with a homer and three runs batted in.

He's doing everything you would want him to do; keep quiet and play good ball, perhaps his trade value will rise to an acceptable level sooner rather than later.

Also a little game of "What could've been," John McLaren's staff up in Seattle will feature Mel Stottlemyre, Eddie Robinson -- who the Rays were considering for the recently filled bench coach position -- former Cubs' manager Jim Riggleman, Norm Charlton, and potentially Larry Bowa as the team's third base coach.
