Prospect List: #11

I commented yesterday that I was shocked that Ryan Royster wasn't doing better in the poll, well apparently some voters took that to heart since Royster won the 10th spot on the list.

Another breakout player for the Catfish, Royster struggled in Hudson Valley. He has a good eye at the plate, and possesses gap power with the occasional pop, along with enough speed to turn some doubles into triples. Quite an athletic duo, Royster and Jennings should move up at nearly the same pace.

Also I neglected the chance to say go Bolts yesterday, however today I say with full authority that Vincent Lecavalier might be the most underrated star in hockey. I know the NHL is pushing the future with Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin, but Vinny is only 27 and helped to bring the Stanley Cup to Tampa Bay. Tampa, hockey, championship, Tampa.

Oh and I made my debut today on Beyond the Boxscore, clickity, it's semi-Rays related. The guys over at The Stat Pack posted some more of their chatting logs, pretty good stuff. Lastly my new boss, Jeff Sackmann makes a case for Scott Kazmir as AL Cy Young, although he acknowledges he won't win it.
