Allan Simpson: Both Torra and Mason have improved considerably, especially Torra. He was a fifth- or six-rounder at the start of the year, but improved to a point that most teams thought they could get him in the second round a month ago. Now he may not get past the middle of the first. He's been on fire. He's not overly athletic at 6-3, 225, but has good stuff and he can throw strikes all day long. He's so polished he could be in Double-A by the end of the year. You can say much the same for Mason, who's athletic, had an excellent season but probably won't go higher than the second round because of his size. He's barely 6-feet.
