DRaysBay has officially capitulated to the Rays' new color scheme, as all changes to the site design have now been completed to conform with the team's new look. Ultimately the changes aren't too radical; pretty much everything that was dark green is now dark blue, the links are dark blue as well, and the sidebars are a bit darker. Ultimately I used dark blue pretty exclusively in the crossover. A few reasons were behind this. First of all, I wanted to make the site's colors proportionate to the colors on the team's uniforms. And pretty much the only color besides white that is significant on the uniforms is dark blue. Hence the gray sidebars and white main page as well. Another reason for the lack of columbia blue and royal yellow is simply aesthetics. There was really no way to incorporate those colors into the present SBN platform in a significant way without making the whole design an abortion.
And so there you have it; DRaysBay has followed the Rays into a "new era" of team history. If you have any questions or comments regarding the design, please do comment here or e-mail me at mrprezz@gmail.com. I will be happy to get feedback from the change and make additional tweaks as necessary. Thank you all very much for your continued support of our site and Rays baseball; we have the best group of core fans around and I thank you all for your contributions to DRaysBay over the last 33 months.
