Is it February already?
It's been a long and sometimes very aggrivating offseason for me, but alas it's baseball time again and I'm happy to be saying that.
As for the aggrivating part of the offseason, I'm starting to contemplate sending every national media outlet my "Dummy's Guide to the Devil Rays" because they're not really "getting it" and it's starting to infect some of our own fans.
One person, however, that's not buying into the crap that the National Media and half the TB/St. Pete media is pouring out is....Steve Duemig. In the link, it's a podcast that Duemig recorded yesterday regarding his "State of the Rays". I've never been a big fan of Duemig, nor have I been a critic of him, but he was on the money about everything. If I can de-ice the door of my fridge, Steve, this bud is for you.
My 3 co-writers have done admirabley in keeping Rays fans up-to-date on all Rays dealings and I'd like to thank them for that. However, I'm going to ease their pain in the next week or so when I get a few "important" emails back and there may be some interesting new segments to the site.(Patrick, I know that you're not a big fan of surprise things...so email me and I'll give you the scoop).
DRays Bay will also post it's Rays Top Prospects list and I believe that it's going to be a great collaboration of intelligent Rays minds.
In the next day or so, I'm hoping to finish a story that I've been preparing for a week or so about a player that Rays fans should keep their eye on. Shhhhhhhh, if you know the secret identity.
I'd like to extent my thanks to all visitors of this site, who have come on like gangbusters this offseason and given us back-to-back "record-setting" months in a very slow offseason. Thank you all, it's only gonna get better from now on.
