Its been a long time coming, but people around baseball are really starting to take notice. It is sure a great feat when Kevin Goldstein is talking about the current youth and not so much the future. This is the real deal this time, not the Carl and Joey show that we were teased with prematurely a few years ago.
It will be an interesting problem if Evan Longoria were to be a part of the mix here in Tampa. That would mark the beginning of the log jam of talent. I loved the gritty play Cantu brought to the team, but there is just not much room for him here. A trade for an impact reliever sure makes sense if one organization who just is maxed out with the relief corps.
