Centerfielder B.J. Upton left Friday's game after his at-bat due to a pulled quad that will leave him day to day.
The more serious injury would be that to catcher Dioner Navarro who had an errant pitch bounce under the mask and into his throat. Navarro quickly fell to the ground clutching at his throat and appeared to have issues breathing before being taken to a local hospital.
With Riggans, Navarro, and Paul on the DL it looks like the Rays may be forced to call John Jaso up from AA.
More to come, but it appears the Rays need to get the hell out of Miami before the team bus explodes.
