Carlos Zambrano has agreed to a 5 year 90 million dollar extension with the Cubs, looking at his stats against Kazmir's, makes you wonder what'll happen when Kazmir gets his extension:
Obviously simply doubling his stats is a rough and largely inaccurate way of projecting the future, but assuming Kaz continues to improve and the market inflates slightly it's safe to say he's going to be a 100 million dollar pitcher before his career is done. Now I'm not saying the Rays can't give him that, it seems somewhat unlikely unless the team is winning by then, and let's face it; if we're not something went wrong, but if the Rays were to match that just imagine J.P. Peterson's reaction; similar to Zod winning next year's election I'd say.
